Welcome To Ripley Rhinos Rugby Club
Rhinos are a friendly, family rugby union club started in 1996 and who are playing their twelfth season of rugby. We currently run three sides - a Men's 1st XV & 2nd XV and a Women's 1st XV. Last season (2006-2007) the men played friendlies, and in the NLD Vase competition. The Women played in Division 3 East Midlands last campaign, finishing seventh by playing some quality rugby. This year, the women are moved into National Challenge 2 East Midlands and celebrate their tenth season of existence and the men rejoin the Pennant League with the first team and entered the NLD Vase only to lose 20-0 to Chesterfield at home in the quarter finals.
During the season, training for both sides occurs on Thursday nights 7pm-9pm on the brand-new outdoor floodlit Astroturf at Mill Hill School. The majority of our players had not played rugby before they joined us and beginners are always warmly welcomed.
